AMA Interior Design Gallery

Our focus at Anderson Mikos Architects is on creating the best spaces for healthcare.

Interior Design is such an important aspect of patient care.

Here are just a few of the many details that we coordinate:

- A well-thought place that flows.

- Comfortable, durable furniture that can be kept clean.

- Textiles that are visually interesting and also feel good.

- Colors that are soothing yet provide energy.

- Appropriate flooring and fixtures that ensure access for all.

Client Testimonials

Keith Mumma

U.S. National Director for International Child Care

The energy that was being generated from this team was amazing. Without any doubt in my mind, ICC would not have been able to accomplish what we did in the planning process and working with the local contractors if it had not been for the expertise of Dave Mikos and his team. Their enthusiasm, extraordinary skills and knowledge of how to plan and facilitate the project were invaluable to ICC.
Patrick Magoon

Former President & CEO, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital

Reflecting on what we have accomplished over the past few years, Lurie Children’s has become all that we had hoped for and more in creating a unique healing environment that offers the best care and comfort for patients and families. It is an honor to partner with Anderson Mikos to improve the health of children in our community.
Chris Nordloh

Former Chief Strategy Officer

Some of the staff were in tears because of the beauty and quality of the building. Not sure if any complimentary words can beat tears for positive feedback. Nice work!

Glenview Outpatient Center Leadership Team

“On behalf of the Glenview Outpatient Center leadership team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your partnership and support in making yesterday’s open house and ribbon‑cutting such a success! It was a beautiful and long‑awaited event, and everyone walked away feeling included, engaged, and proud of what this project represents, and what it will mean for our community. We truly could not have done this without you…We are incredibly grateful to have you on our team and for everything you did to make the day memorable.”
John Diederich

CEO, Rush Copley Medical Center

Anderson Mikos has worked with Rush Copley over the past 20 years helping us plan and design a wide range of hospital projects, professional office buildings, and numerous expansion and renovation projects. Anderson Mikos was also instrumental in developing our 10-20 years master facility plan for both our main hospital campus, as well as for our satellite healthcare campus in Yorkville. I have personally known Dave Mikos for over 20 years and consider him and his staff key members of our team.
Col. Aaron Reisinger

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District

The collaboration on-site has been like nothing I have seen in 26 years of military service. From day one, everyone brought their A-team, everyone brought an attitude focused on delivering the outcome and really focused on delivering the mission. Everyone worked hand-in-hand to overcome challenges and problems that otherwise would have taken weeks, if not months to solve.
Abby Manders, AIA, EDAC

Design Manager, Planning, Design & Construction

Dave, I just wanted to let you know that you and your team have been a great partner as we work through the Lakeland ED design efforts… You are fully engaged as part of the project team and ready to support the owner and others in any way that you can. It is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Thank you for making the project meetings enjoyable with some laughs, but also bringing a high level of expertise to the meetings. I can see the passion and drive for good design while also being active listeners to the end users...
From a Survey

Patient at Northwestern Medical Grayslake Outpatient Center

Likelihood to Recommend Location: 10
Location Comment: The recent choice to manage diagnostic mammograms and screening mammograms in separate areas was brilliant and makes all the difference in specialized care. This was the first time I didn’t have to wait hours for a diagnostic while surrounded by women who were in and out after their screenings and I was able to remain calm and feel truly cared about for the first time in decades. Thank you for that most excellent change in your processes. Best move ever.
Paul Neff

PDC Construction Manager, Advocate Aurora Healthcare

I've worked on numerous spaces with AMA, including highly technical projects such as a lab and pharmacy that required precision in every detail. The AMA Team has always been responsive and timely. They listen and add value. Any healthcare site would benefit with AMA as a partner.
